Wow, hello everyone! Happy summer!
Let me start by saying I have such an affinity towards road trips. I love making driving playlists, stopping at roadside attractions, and even making gas station stops. Yesterday, I went on a road trip to Magnolia Market in Waco, Texas!
Before I say any more, let me give you a little back story. Magnolia Market has gained quite a lot of attention recently due to a little show on HGTV called Fixer Upper. Fixer Upper stars Chip and Joanna Gaines, a couple who fixes up the cutest homes for a different family each episode! They are based in Waco, Texas – and have a giant market full of elegant, rustic decorations! People all over the South have begun to flock down to Waco to see the Gaines’ amazing design and style in person.
My sister, Gracie, my boyfriend, Joe, and I embarked on the 2 hour (mini) road trip, and wow, does it live up to the hype! Here’s how our day went.
10:30 a.m. – IHOP Breakfast Stop
11:45 a.m. – Hitting the Road
1:30 p.m. – Arrived at Magnolia
2:00 p.m. – Shopping in the Market
2:45 p.m. – Coffee Break
3:00 p.m. – Sister Photoshoot, Chill, and Depart
Pro Tip: Make sure you build in time to your schedule to grab lunch and hang out at the tables outside! Honestly, I think that was more fun than shopping.
I have to admit, I was hesitant to jump on the Magnolia bandwagon. However, after watching a bit of the series and visiting Magnolia in person, I totally fell in love! I’m planning on going back soon – the environment is so laid back, not to mention drop-dead gorgeous! I definitely recommend visiting the silos.
Exciting things are coming soon!
